4. Get Aldrich And Johnson To Opt In

The starting five are obviously the most important players on your team but no starting five can play a game out. The importance of the bench cannot be discounted.

Cole Aldrich is the reserve center behind DeAndre Jordan and knows his own game exceptionally well. In his five seasons within the NBA, Aldrich has not taken a three-point shot. His 5.5 points per game came off 59.6 percent shooting. It was also above his career average of 3.6.

Despite the fact he is playing behind one of the most dominant centers in the game, Aldrich still had nine games with more than 10 points. Also, despite playing behind Jordan he had six games with more than 10 rebounds.

Wesley Johnson is a six-year veteran who adds depth to the bench at the small forward position. He has never averaged 10 points per game in his career, but in his 20.6 minutes per games with the Clippers he averaged 6.9 points, 3.1 rebounds and an impressive 1.1 steals.

Johnson is very consistent as he had 22 games where he scored at least 10 points. He also had eight games where he had three or more assists, including a season-high six in a win against Atlanta.

Bench depth will get a team into the Finals, these two add that.
