2. Re-Sign Jamal Crawford

More from LA Clippers

Even at the age of 36, “instant offense” Jamal Crawford makes a massive difference to any team. The reigning Sixth Man of the Year poured in 14.2 points per game from the bench last year.

Crawford has been with the Clippers for the last four years and every time his contract comes up for renewal, there is always plenty of interest from the rest of the league.

It seems that Crawford is quite comfortable with his role with the Clippers and I can’t see him moving on.

I am sure that he wants to play for a contende, but I don’t see the Golden State Warriors, Oklahoma City Thunder, San Antonio Spurs, Cleveland Cavaliers, Toronto Raptors or the Miami Heat having the salary cap room or the need to fit Crawford in.

Unfortunately Crawford is really only good one way. His defense has always been questionable at best. His value, however, has never been his defense.

Crawford is 89th all-time in points scored for his career. If he plays on for the next few years he could quite conceivably make it into the the top 50.

For the Clippers to have a run at the title, they need to keep quality offensive players like Crawford so that when either Redick or Paul go to the bench, the Clippers are still potent offensively.
