3. Sign Marreese Speights

With the addition of all the extra talent for Indiana some of the current players are going to struggle to get playing time. Solomon Hill will get very little playing time, with both Paul George and C.J. Miles ahead of him at small forward.

Jordan Hill will also struggle to get playing time. Ian Mahinmi will be starting center unless Myles Turner develops this season at the same pace as he did last season.

Indiana needs to move away from these two players and find a big man who has range on his shot. With Thaddeus Young on the court, a player like Marreese Speights would be able to spread the floor with his shooting, allowing Young to have space inside to work.

Speights has also had the experience of being on a winning championship team and one that has lost one in Game 7 so would be a welcome addition with that knowledge.

With the talk of the Golden State Warriors pursuing Al Horford or Dwight Howard, Speights will most like be the center that misses out for the Warriors, considering he appears to be third on the depth chart behind Andrew Bogut and Festus Ezeli.

A fresh start for Speights might just take Indiana to the next championship, their first since they joined the NBA.
