5. Get Some Insurance At Center

Marc Gasol is a lynch pin of the franchise, the offense and defense is structured around him. When he went down injured, Randolph needed to play center. This thew the entire balance of the Memphis team out.

One player I would love to see come back to Memphis is Pau Gasol. Put the two brothers on the same team and look out NBA, Memphis will become a multi-headed monster, impossible to defend.

Let’s be honest, they traded Gasol away once so it is not likely but what better insurance for one Gasol than a second?

Roy Hibbert played himself out of a large contract last season with how bad he was with the Lakers.

If Memphis signed him to a smaller contract this year, they would have a quality backup. With the defensive mindset of the team,

Hibbert should get back to his defensive best as he needs the right team around him to be a quality defender.

Hopefully this season Memphis will play with their full roster. Hopefully the injury bug goes to another franchise. Marc Gasol is so crucial to this franchise but he is not the entire franchise. Memphis needs to make these roster moves to support Gasol and his effort to take the franchise into the Finals.
