The 2015-16 season was going well for the Memphis Grizzlies. They were keeping in touch with the top four in the Western Conference and were looking good, despite the start to the season they had against the Golden State Warriors. The less said about that game, the better.

Then the injuries happened. Mark Gasol broke his foot, meaning he would miss the rest of the regular season and all of the playoffs.

Zach Randolph missed 14 games throughout the season. Mario Chalmers was traded for and then ruptured his Achilles. Mike Conley also missed time through an Achilles injury.

These are just a few, as Memphis used a total of 28 players last season, just to get through.

This coming season, Memphis has a couple of key players they need to retain, including Mike Conley and Matt Barnes.

Lance Stephenson also has an opt in option for his contract.

If Memphis is not careful, the grit and grind era that has defined the franchise for a number of years may in fact be over.

To prevent this from happening, here are five roster moves Memphis need to make.
