The NBA Draft is a critical opportunity for franchise building. Take a look at the Golden State Warriors, who drafted their way to being a powerhouse franchise with the selections of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Harrison Barnes.

The draft gives hope to the downtrodden franchises of the league like Philadelphia, who by all accounts hit a home run Thursday night and gave hope to their fan base that “The Process” may pay off in the end.

For some teams though, draft night didn’t quite live up to expectations. The failures ranged from minor to disastrous as some teams squandered away another key opportunity to improve their franchises. Here’s a look at the teams who might be wishing for a redo a year from now and what went wrong during the 2016 NBA Draft.
