45. Gilbert Arenas

Golden State Warriors 2001-03, Washington Wizards 2003-10, Orlando Magic 2010-11, Memphis Grizzlies 2012

Gilbert Arenas left the University of Arizona after just two seasons and stayed on the draft board until 30th overall, taken in the second round by the Warriors.

After a solid rookie campaign—albeit one shortened by an injury—Arenas emerged as a budding star, earning Most Improved Player honors in 2002-03.

His second-round draft status allowed him to test unrestricted free agency after just two seasons and he landed a lucrative deal with the Wizards in August 2003.

“Agent Zero” earned three All-Star nods with Washington, was a three-time All-NBA performer and in 2006-07, led the NBA in 3-point field goals and attempts.

Arenas missed the 2007 playoffs with an injury and sat out almost all of the 2007-08 and 2008-09 seasons because of a balky knee. In 2009-10, he was suspended for having unloaded firearms in the Wizards’ locker room.

In December 2010, he was dealt to Orlando, but was waived by the Magic under the amnesty clause at the conclusion of the 2011 lockout. In March 2012, he caught on briefly with the Grizzlies and hasn’t played since 2012-13, when he was in China.

The postseason was not kind, however. Arenas got past the first round just once and the Wizards were swept out of the Eastern semifinals by the Miami Heat in 2005.

The final tally on Arenas’ playoff career:

NBA Finals: 0-0
Conference Finals: 0-0
Conference Semifinals: 0-1
First Round: 1-4
