20. Carmelo Anthony

Denver Nuggets 2003-11, New York Knicks 2011-16

After Carmelo Anthony led Syracuse to its first national title, the Denver Nuggets took the freshman All-American with the third pick in the talent-rich 2003 NBA Draft.

Anthony was a four-time All-NBA selection in Denver and was tabbed for four All-Star games.

After Nuggets were bounced in the first round of the playoffs five straight years, Denver beat the New Orleans Hornets and Dallas Mavericks in 2009 to reach the Western Conference Finals. But once there, Denver fell to the eventual champion Los Angeles Lakers in six games.

After another first-round exit in 2010, the Nuggets—as part of a three-team, 14-player, four-draft pick extravaganza—sent Anthony to the Knicks.

In New York, Anthony has earned two more All-NBA selections and five All-Star game appearances. He also finished third in the 2012-13 MVP voting.

In 2012-13, Anthony led the NBA in scoring and in 2013-14,he topped the league in minutes per game.

After two more first-round exits, the Knicks reached the second round in 2013, losing in six games to the Indiana Pacers.

Anthony agreed to a new five-year, $124 million contract with New York in July, with an early termination option after the 2017-18 season.

Coming back from a knee injury, Anthony appeared in 72 games this season for the Knicks and averaged 21.8 points, 7.7 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 35.1 minutes per game while shooting .434/.339/.829.

In his 13 seasons, Anthony is averaging 24.9 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.1 steals in 36.4 minutes per game, shooting .453/.344/.812.

The current tally on Anthony’s playoff career:

NBA Finals: 0-0
Conference Finals: 0-1
Conference Semifinals: 1-1
First Round: 2-8
