6. Markelle Fultz, Washington Huskies

Position: Point Guard
Age: 18 (5/29/1998)
Height, Weight, Wingspan: 6’4.75″, 186 pounds, 6’9″
Slash Line: N/A
Season Averages: N/A

The troubling news is that an explosive point guard with elite size and a mediocre jump shot is going to play for the Washington Huskies. History states that Washington will not help said player develop defensive consistency or their jumper.

The encouraging news is that Markelle Fultz looks like something that no previous Huskies point guard has: an elite prospect.

Fultz has a phenomenal physical profile for a point guard at 6’5″ and 186 pounds with a 6’9″ wingspan. He has tremendous speed in the open court, and an uncanny ability to change directions with hard cuts that keep the opposition off-balance.

In complement to his athleticism, Fultz has the skill set of a traditional point guard.

Fultz has a smooth floater that he can drop over taller defenders with relative ease. He’s also a gifted passer with beautiful court vision and a jump shot that, while streaky, has improved over the past few years.

Fultz is generally regarded as a player with star potential, and will be on the radar for the entirety of the 2016-17 season.
