The Arizona Wildcats will rely upon incoming freshman Terrance Ferguson to help round out the perimeter. It’s possible that he plays more of a complementary role in Sean Miller’s offense, but don’t let that define him for you.

Ferguson has upside in abundance, and the team that selects him will receive a gifted and developable talent.

Ferguson has excellent size for a shooting guard at 6’7″ with a 6’9.5″ wingspan. He’s also a very fluid athlete who can play above the rim, get out in transition, and move well on the defensive end of the floor.

That defensive versatility will endear him to his coaching staff at Arizona, and will do the same with NBA general managers.

Offensively, Ferguson will need to prove himself as a shot-creator against NBA-caliber defenders. What’s undeniable, however, is that he has the mechanics to be a genuine lights-out shooter on the college and professional levels.

3-and-D players are invaluable in the modern NBA, and Ferguson has the potential to be exactly that.
