The barrage of international prospects continues with former Fenerbahce center Omer Yurtseven. The Turkish star will look to solidify his rise on the American scene in 2016-17 as he plays alongside Dennis Smith Jr. with the North Carolina State Wolfpack.

Yurtseven has remarkable upside and should only benefit from playing alongside a pick-and-roll specialist like Smith.

Yurtseven has ideal size for an NBA center at just under 7’0″ with an acceptable 7’1″ wingspan. His end-to-end speed can shock opponents when he runs in transition, and he has the soft hands and athleticism to catch a pass on the run and throw down a dunk with ferocious power.

Yurtseven is just as dangerous of a finisher when setting screens and diving to complete the pick-and-roll.

It’s not an overstatement to say that Yurseven is a powerful finisher who has—for his size—explosive leaping ability. Perhaps the most intriguing aspect of his upside, however, is his genuine 3-point range.

Yurseven is more upside than anything else, but he could become one of the better players in this draft class.
