14. Marques Bolden, Duke Blue Devils

Position: Center
Age: 18 (4/17/1998)
Height, Weight, Wingspan: 6’11”, 250 pounds, 7’6″
Slash Line: N/A
Season Averages: N/A

Following in the footsteps of Indiana Hoosiers star Thomas Bryant is incoming freshman Marques Bolden. He’s a raw prospect, but Bolden is entering the perfect situation for fundamentals to be acquired and polished.

Mike Krzyzewski finishes off his remarkable haul of Top 15 prospects with one of the most physically imposing centers in the country.

Bolden isn’t nearly as fundamentally sound as Jahlil Okafor was, but physically, he measures similarly. He stands at 6’11” and 250 pounds with a 7’6″ wingspan and a 9’4.5″ standing reach, which is slightly better than Bryant’s measurements.

Bolden also has the raw ability to score from just about anywhere within 20 feet.

Bolden is a mobile athlete who can run the pick-and-roll with soft enough hands to catch passes and finish in traffic. He has a solid enough midrange game to call it a developable strength, and should be able to score from the post as a freshman.

Some have questioned the effort with which Bolden performs, but he won’t be able to take many plays off under Coach K.
