5 Predictions For NBA Draft Night
The New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets enter the draft party via trade
While neither the New York Knicks or Brooklyn Nets own any major draft capital (only the Nets own a selection at 55th overall), both will still make deals to make themselves younger.

The Knicks may have just acquired Derrick Rose, but fans must remember that Rose is on a one year deal, and the previous starter and backup point guards were moved.
With Rose as much of an injury risk as he is, look for the Knicks to shop assets around in order to acquire a first- or second-round pick.
The most likely player to be shopped is Derrick Williams. On the right team Williams can be a solid fourth big man, and that should be more than worth a second round selection. The Knicks should settle for that and find a backup to Rose, someone like Kay Felder, Cat Barber or even Caris LeVert.
As for the Nets, they have much larger assets to sell off, and while they have the 55th overall selection, they need more youth in order to start a proper rebuild. Having veterans around like Brook Lopez and Thaddeus Young is useless if there’s nothing else around them in addition.
Because of that, look for the Nets to sell their veterans at as high of a price as they can get. Both Lopez and Young could fetch first round picks from teams, especially Boston.

It’s hard to trade the most marketable pieces, but in a place like Brooklyn, they will be even more opposed to trying to win and simply not being able to due to a lack of assets. Burning it down is the best, and in my opinion, only way to go this offseason.
