4. Sign And Trade Plumlee

Miles Plumlee is a good backup center, has rim-protecting skills, can score and rebound. Why on earth would I say it would be a good idea to trade him? Milwaukee already has one of these guys in John Henson.

If Plumlee is signed again with Milwaukee, they can get something for the four-year player.

Andrew Bogut of the Golden State Warriors showed us all the benefits of having a rim protector in the game. He got injured and LeBron James drove the Cleveland Cavaliers to a title. The game changed when there was no one to contest a shot.

The NBA has been going towards small ball with the success of the Warriors. I think the big bloke in the middle is about to get a career revival thanks to what the Finals showed us.

What Milwaukee needs to get in return is a center who can score at a similar cost to Plumlee. That is assuming that they can move Monroe on. This will make Milwaukee harder to match up on, potentially winning more games.

If Milwaukee are unable to find a trade partner for this, then Plumlee will be locked into a relatively small contract that will not hurt Milwaukee’s chances of luring future big-name free agents.
