2. Indiana Pacers
While the league goes small, the Indiana Pacers could have the ability to stay big while keeping the speed necessary to compete in today’s NBA. Myles Turner validated a lot of the praise and hype he received coming into the league with his rookie season.
While Turner doesn’t yet possess a consistent three-point shot, it’s clear that he will be able to stretch the floor at some point in his career. In the meantime, he shot 42.5 percent on shots between 16 feet and the three-point line.
While he develops that shot, he certainly can space the floor enough alongside Monroe and be a better partner for him than Andre Drummond or Jabari Parker.
Turner also has shown some flashes of becoming a good defensive player. With his length and mobility the Pacers could choose to go really big with both of them, or have either of them play with defensive ace Paul George.
Versatility is the way of the modern NBA. The Pacers could likely make a push for Monroe with some combination of depth on the perimeter, if the Bucks want to part ways with his contract.
