1. Re-Sign Ryan Anderson

Ryan Anderson had another impressive season for the New Orleans Pelicans. In his 66 games he averaged 30.5 minutes, 17.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per outing. These are all great numbers.

Unfortunately for the New Orleans Pelicans Anderson’s great numbers were only able to help them to a 30-52 record.

Anderson puts his heart and soul into the game, but with a short frame and a less-than-impressive wingspan, his defense leaves a lot to be desired, especially if he is guarding a power forward.

That being said, his shooting is hot on most nights. Every team needs a scorer. Anderson spaces the floor well so that his superstar, Anthony Davis, can go to work.

Anderson, when he is on, changes the way New Orleans plays.

With Davis, Anderson and a healthy Pondexter, New Orleans look like a bottom-tier playoff team. Lose any one of these three players and they lose 10 more games a season.

There will be a number of teams who could use a stretch 4 like Anderson and they will offer him a lot of money to leave New Orleans. I can see a team like the Indiana Pacers really pushing to get him so that there is more room for Paul George to work inside.

New Orleans cannot let this happen.
