4. 34-7

The Golden State Warriors made history by winning a record number of games, but there’s an underrated aspect of that success. It wasn’t just how badly Golden State was beating teams, but where the Warriors were piling up the Ws.

No team in NBA history has ever won more road games than the 2015-16 Warriors.

Although it is ranked at No. 4, this may be the most impressive feat on the Warriors’ list of extraordinary achievement. It’s hard enough to win 25 road games, let alone 30, and Golden State went 34-7 away from home.

For perspective, only 12 teams in NBA history have even won 30 away games.

The fact that the Warriors could go on the road and still be the heavy favorite is impressive unto itself. It’s happened in the past, yes, but never has a team won road games as consistently as the Warriors were able to.

Golden State doing this as the defending NBA champions, with every team giving it their best shot, makes it all the more impressive.
