5. 30 + 50-40-90

As previously established, Stephen Curry is the greatest 3-point shooter in NBA history. That’s becoming more objective by the day, as Curry dominates the Association with shooting exploits that had never even been imagined.

The greatest sign of Curry’s proficiency as a shooter and overall scorer is a combination of statistics that had never been achieved before.

Curry joined the 50-40-90 club in an extraordinary way. For those unfamiliar, the 50-40-90 club is exclusive to players who shoot at least 50 percent from the field, 40 percent from 3-point range, and 90 percent from the free throw line.

According to Basketball-Reference.com, Curry became the first player in NBA history to go 50-40-90 while averaging at least 30.0 points per game.

Curry’s combination of scoring volume and efficiency was otherworldly. He won the scoring title, set the all-time record for 3-point field goals made in a single season, and still managed to maintain elite efficiency.

Simply put, Curry put forth a scoring season for the ages.
