The Golden State Warriors are the greatest 3-point shooting team in NBA history. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson are two of the most lethal marksmen to ever grace the hardwood, and Steve Kerr routinely crafts rotations with tremendous balance from beyond the arc.

The Warriors’ perfect storm of 3-point shooters reached its legendary peak in 2015-16.

The Warriors made an unfathomable 1,077 3-point field goals during the 2015-16 regular season. That was very easily the most by any team in 2015-16, and it shattered the previous NBA record for 3-point field goals made in a season.

The previous record was 933—a mark the Warriors bested by nearly 150 3-point field goals made.

It wasn’t just that the Warriors were putting up a high volume of 3-point field goals; the efficiency was just as impressive as the volume. Golden State shot 41.6 percent from beyond the arc as a team, which ranked No. 1 in the NBA.

With the most 3-point field goals made in NBA history, and the second-highest 3-point field goal percentage of all-time, the Warriors officially became the best 3-point shooting team ever.
