9. Bench Stepping Up

Shaun Livingston hasn’t reached double figures in this series since his 20-point, 8-for-10 shooting performance in Game 1. Festus Ezeli has been a disaster. Marreese Speights has been unplayable. Anderson Varejao‘s value comes pretty much exclusively from flopping.

Aside from the obvious Andre Iguodala (who will likely start again in Game 7) and Leandro Barbosa (17-for-26 shooting in the series), Golden State’s bench has faded from the picture since the first two games of the series, when they outscored Cleveland’s second unit by a massive 85-40 margin.

In a Game 7 at home with everything on the line, rotations will likely be shortened. But if Golden State’s reserves can play with a little fire in their limited action, they’ll provide a huge home court boost and perhaps even buy the starters a little more rest time.
