10. Start Fast

This isn’t just a Game 6 overreaction; in a do-or-die Game 7 on their home court, after back-to-back losses against this Cavaliers team, the Warriors really need to feed off the infectious energy of their home crowd and set the tone right from the jump.

In their three wins in this series, the Dubs have outscored Cleveland by three points in the opening frame. In their three losses, they’ve been outscored by 34, including a 17-point deficit in Game 3 and a 20-point deficit in Game 6.

At home, it’s highly unlikely the Warriors dig themselves into that kind of hole, but they can’t take home court for granted. With their 73-win season on the line, a strong opening quarter will send the Cavs the message that they’re facing an uphill climb right from the start.
