1. Re-sign Evan Fournier

Last year, small forward Evan Fournier started 71 of his 79 games and had a really good season. He averaged 32.5 minutes, 15.4 points and 2.8 rebounds per game. His scoring average was good enough for third on the team.

Fournier shot at a respectable 46.2 percent from the field and 35 percent from three.

At 23 years of age, Fournier has already got four years of experience in the NBA and his game is showing the benefit of this with his production rising steadily each year.

If Fournier can continue to grow, by the time he is in his late 20s he may become the offensive force that Orlando wants him to be.

If Fournier does re-sign, then Orlando will be comfortable with their long term plans at small forward as they also bring along Mario Hezonja, who is currently Fournier’s backup.

When the team traded away Tobias Harris to Detroit, it appeared that they were putting their faith in Fournier, Vucevic and Payton. If they don’t manage to re-sign Fournier, then there is a good chance that they will miss the playoffs for a fifth consecutive season, which will be a franchise record.

That is how important I consider Fournier to be to Orlando’s future.
