4. Tyler Ulis, Kentucky Wildcats

Position: Point Guard
Age: 20 (1/5/1996)
Height, Weight, Wingspan: 5’10”, 149 pounds, 6’2″
Slash Line: .434/.344/.856
Season Averages: 36.8 MPG, 17.3 PPG, 7.0 APG, 3.0 RPG, 1.5 SPG, 1.6 3PM

Despite standing at 5’10” in shoes, Tyler Ulis ran the Kentucky Wildcats’ offense with remarkable efficiency. He was one of the team’s primary scoring options, as well as the No. 1 facilitator, and still managed to take great care of the ball.

A number of players have thrived in recent seasons at 5’10” or shorter, but Ulis may be the best pure facilitator of the bunch.

Ulis averaged 7.0 assists per game in 2015-16, which creates a fair expectation of a high turnover rate. Instead, Ulis averaged just 2.0 turnovers per game, and turned in an assist-to-turnover ratio of 3.57.

You rarely see that type of facilitating efficiency from a point guard in a major conference, let alone an undersized playmaker.

The key to Ulis’ game is that, along with being a mature decision-maker, he’s a lethal shooter. He has a gorgeous floater, deep 3-point range, and a fearless approach to letting his shot off in traffic.

Ulis’ willingness and ability to score makes him that much more of a threat to create for his teammates.
