2. Juan Hernangomez

Let’s be honest though: As nice as DeAndre Bembry might be, there’s very little chance the Suns use their third first-rounder on anything other than a draft-and-stash candidate. Juan Hernangomez, a 6’9″ power forward currently playing for CB Estudiantes in Spain’s ACB Liga, could fit the bill.

Yet another stretch-4 on the Suns’ possible target list, Hernangomez is only 20 years old and could spend a few more years seasoning overseas (“overseasoning”?) until Phoenix is ready to bring him over.

Though he doesn’t play much in the post and — like pretty much every other draft prospect — needs to get stronger, Hernangomez has a smooth jump shot, NBA athleticism and a high motor that would make him an asset to the Suns in the future.

With the experience that comes from playing professionally overseas, Hernangomez would be a more polished product when he finally did arrive in Phoenix, and for a team that won’t be looking to add all four of this year’s draft picks to the 2016-17 roster, you can’t ask for much more than that.
