2. Danilo Gallinari

Danilo Gallinari‘s time in Denver hasn’t been what he or the organization hoped it would be. Gallinari is a sharpshooting, 6-foot-10 forward coming off a career high 19.5 points per game this season.

Injuries have limited him throughout his time in Denver, playing 71, zero, 59 and 53 games respectively the last four seasons. Making a move for him would be a risk, but that risk is the only reason a player like him would be available.

Ujiri has experience with Gallinari, as he was the one who traded for him as general manager during his time in Denver. At Gallinari’s size, he could effectively play positionless basketball with DeMarre Carroll at the two forward positions for Toronto.

Galinari is owed $34 million over the next two seasons and in terms of asking price it seems unlikely that he would come cheap.

But if Toronto feels as though he’s a higher value option than their picks, which are carry risks of their own should Toronto keep them, then it would be a worthwhile option for them to pursue.
