Trade Options For The Toronto Raptors
By Justin Rowan
1. Thaddeus Young
The Brooklyn Nets are in a difficult position when it comes to rebuilding. With their only pick in the 2016 NBA Draft coming in at 55th overall, they aren’t currently in a position to add young talent to a team that finished with 21 wins.
Thaddeus Young is a talented player that is forced to play in too large of a role in Brooklyn due to the lack of supporting players. He averaged 15.1 points and 9.0 rebounds a game this season on 51 percent shooting.
Young would provide the Raptors with toughness, defense and scoring at the power forward position, something that they have not consistently had. While he isn’t a consistent three-point threat, he does have enough range to space the floor.
In order to make the money work, the Raptors would likely need to trade Terrence Ross. A package of Ross and the ninth overall pick likely would have appeal to a Brooklyn team that needs to add young talent.
