Caris LeVert, Michigan Wolverines

If Caris LeVert’s resume didn’t include a laundry list of injuries, he’d likely be a lottery pick in the 2016 NBA Draft. He’s a positionally versatile sharpshooter with the size, athleticism, and skill level to be an immediate contributor.

LeVert’s upside remains intact, but injuries have called the likelihood of his living up to the hype into question.

LeVert played point guard, shooting guard, and small forward during his four seasons with the Michigan Wolverines. It stands to reason that he could spend minutes at all three positions at the next level.

A capable playmaker who can shoot the 3-ball at an elite level, LeVert is a special prospect.

The unfortunate reality is that LeVert has a foot injury that just won’t go away. He underwent surgeries in May of 2014, January of 2015, and March of 2016—a total of three procedures in a span of 22 months.

LeVert has everything a team looks for in a starting perimeter player, but his injury history has dropped him into the second round.
