European players carry the stigma of skilled contributors who lack the athleticism and toughness to thrive in the NBA. That’s an often irrational thought process, and French shooting guard Isaia Cordinier is proof.

An athletic shooting guard with 3-point range on his jump shot and defensive potential, Cordinier could be a steal of a selection.

Cordinier has a smooth shooting stroke and a solid combination of size and length at 6’5″ with a 6’8″ wingspan. He needs to regulate his shooting form, but he’s becoming lethal in catch-and-shoot situations.

Cordinier is also an aggressive rebounder who can make an impact on the offensive glass.

Defensively, he isn’t yet polished in his footwork, but plays with intensity. He could become a plus defender at the next level, and plays at a fast speed that fits the manner in which many teams run their offense.

Cordinier plays above the rim, can space the floor, and could become one of the best international prospects selected in 2016.
