San Antonio Spurs
For any player, signing with San Antonio is pretty much guaranteeing that they will be in good position to win a championship. Finishing with a franchise-best 67-15 record this season, the Spurs were projected to meet the Golden State Warriors in what would have been possibly the best playoff series in history.
The dream matchup was shut down when they ran into a buzzsaw in the Oklahoma City Thunder, who defeated them in the conference semifinals in six games.

Beale Street Bears
The Hall Of Fame trio composed of Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili seems to be on its last leg. Their statuses for next season remain in question, but it’s no secret that the Spurs are determined in building for the future to avoid sub-par seasons.
Adding Conley would form a Big Three to be reckoned with alongside Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge, and under the genius basketball mind of Gregg Popovich, it’s hard to see that group not winning multiple championships.
Conley would be the perfect replacement for Parker because as stated before, he isn’t a score-first type of point guard that is so common in today’s game. He has a great mix of knowing when to score and when to set up teammates, similar to Parker.
His defensive prowess would give the Spurs a huge boost against teams like the Thunder and Warriors, two teams that they mightily struggled with in terms of keeping the point guards in front of them.
According to Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders, the Spurs are willing to go great extents for Conley:
"“The dark horse in the Conley race is the Spurs. More than a few league insiders have pegged the Spurs as having more than a passing interest in Conley as a free agent and, much like with Durant, they are prepared to break apart some of their core to lock in another high level player.”"
It would come to no surprise if the Spurs were able to ink Conley this summer and for his sake, it would be his best chance at getting a championship.
