If the Cleveland Cavaliers are going to win the 2016 NBA championship, then Kevin Love needs to be at his absolute best.. He’s been excellent in some regards during the 2016 NBA Playoffs, averaging 2.9 3-point field goals made on 44.6 percent shooting from beyond the arc.

After missing the 2015 NBA Finals due to a shoulder injury, it’s now on a healthy Love to earn his $113 million contract and shine on the biggest stage imaginable.

Love’s been lights out from 3-point range, but he’s been abysmal from within the arc. He’s shooting just 34.0 percent on 2-point field goals, which is a terrible number and a significant issue for the Cavaliers.

With All-Defensive First Team honoree Draymond Green on the other side, the Cavaliers need a post player who can collapse the Warriors’ defense on a consistent basis.

If Love fails to correct the flaws that are plaguing him from within the 3-point line, the Cavaliers will struggle to win this series. Cleveland needs Love to be the skilled post player and dominant offensive rebounder that he showed signs of becoming with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

If Love can excel in that regard, a ring could be in his future.
