The Cleveland Cavaliers stormed through the first three rounds of the playoffs. They swept both the Detroit Pistons and the Atlanta Hawks in the first two rounds and followed that up with a 4-2 series win over the Toronto Raptors in the conference finals.
Although the Cavaliers did lose twice to the Raptors, they were the superior team in each of their playoff series. But now they will face a talented and familiar foe in the NBA Finals: the Golden State Warriors.
These two teams clashed in the 2015 Finals, with the Warriors winning the series in six games.
The caveat to last year’s encounter was that the Cavaliers were without Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love.
