5. C Al Jefferson

Could Al Jefferson make his return to Boston? The now 31-year-old center spent his first three seasons with the Celtics from 2004-07, but has become quite the player since his departure.

Despite a down season in 2015-16 in which he battled multiple knee injuries, Jefferson is still a very productive player in the paint when healthy.

He is just two full seasons removed from his best year as a professional, in which he averaged 21.8 points and 10.8 rebounds per contest for the Charlotte Hornets.

Even in his down year this season, Jefferson still managed 12.0 points and 6.4 rebounds on 49 percent shooting in 47 games played.

If “Big Al” proves that he’s healthy this offseason, he will be a potential bounce-back candidate heading into the 2016-17 campaign. With the Celtics searching for instant offense in the post, Jefferson could prove to be the perfect buy-low candidate if the price is right.
