The NBA offseason is a time for hope and a time for action.

Twenty-nine franchises will look to figure out why they didn’t win a championship. Obviously, some franchises are much closer to the ultimate goal than others, but that doesn’t matter when trying to identify the most active teams during this period.

Whether a franchise has a long way to go or just another small piece to acquire, those 29 other franchises are rarely successful unless they make personnel changes.

Last offseason, the San Antonio Spurs made a major addition of LaMarcus Aldridge to their core, and while the season didn’t end well, they still won 67 games and were one of the most successful regular-season teams in history.

Here are five teams that will look to make changes this offseason to get closer to the ultimate goal.
