2. Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics love versatile big men who compete on defense and can facilitate from the high post. Joakim Noah isn’t quite as polished in his offensively fundamentals as others on the open market, but he certainly knows how to execute when healthy.

The possibility of a Noah and Brad Stevens marriage should be explored in Boston.

The Boston Celtics, which won 48 games in 2015-16, have made back-to-back postseason appearances. The key to that success has been the team-first mentality that’s birthed the selfless contributions of many.

What Noah could provide is one of the strengths Boston has lacked: stability at center.

There are a number of talented players on the roster, but the Celtics need a rim protector. Even if Noah fails to rediscover his dynamic offensive ways, he’s a competitive defender who works his tail off on the glass and leads by example—and with his voice.

Adding Noah could be the first domino to fall in Boston evolving into a genuine contender.
