Duke Blue Devils small forward Brandon Ingram should have a successful NBA career. Beyond the obvious, he’s generally regarded as a good teammate who works hard and has a good feel for the game.

The validity of his star potential can be debated, but Ingram has all of the tools to be a very good NBA player.

Ingram is pegged by most to come off the board at either No. 1 or No. 2 overall. The reasons are plentiful; he’s a 6’10” small forward with a 7’3″ wingspan, plus athleticism, and an elite stroke from beyond the arc, a la Kevin Durant.

If nothing else, being a 6’10” sharpshooter should help Ingram maintain a profitable NBA career.

Ingram’s thin frame is a concern, but he’s a lethal 3-point shooter with the size to convert over the average defender. His size and length permit his potential development into a disruptive force on defense, as well.

Ingram should be much more than just a spot-up shooter, but he should be bale to thrive as a 3-and-D player if stardom isn’t in the cards.
