Phoenix Suns: 5 Potential Draft Options With The No. 13 Pick
2. Skal Labissiere
Like his fellow Kentucky big Marquese Chriss, Labissiere is projected by most mock drafts to be off the board by the time the Phoenix Suns are on the clock at No. 13. But if he does slide that far in a draft with so many options at power forward and center, the Suns should give him a serious look.
At 7’0″, this 20-year-old shot-blocking center has an intriguing amount of potential despite being raw in the low post and lacking in strength.
However, he runs the floor like a wing, has shown signs of being able to knock down perimeter shots and could become a very versatile package if he extends his range out to three-point territory.
The defensive potential alone makes him worth a look, even with Alex Len already on the roster.
Labissiere averaged only 6.6 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in 15.8 minutes per game in his lone season with the Wildcats, but he also shot 51.6 percent from the floor and has a high NBA ceiling if he can get stronger around the basket.
If he’s still on the board at No. 13, the Suns would be hard-pressed to skip over him.
