5 Offseason Ideas To Improve The Minnesota Timberwolves
Joakim Noah signs with Minnesota on a short-term deal
The heart and soul of Thibodeau’s team in Chicago, Joakim Noah is likely looking for a new home.
After having a falling out with current Chicago coach Fred Hoiberg, Noah has a case to move on from the Bulls after losing his starting job. In Minnesota, he would likely assume the starting center role and push Towns to the power forward position.
While his offensive capabilities have been questioned, Noah has always had a positive defensive impact. For many years, Thibs ran a defensive system in Chicago, and it afforded Noah the opportunity to shine. He even finished 4th in MVP voting during the 2013-14 season.
While his athleticism has waned due to injuries, he knows the system Thibodeau runs better than anyone, and as vocal of a leader he is, he would set a great example for the young T’Wolves roster.
