5 Offseason Ideas To Improve The Minnesota Timberwolves
As head coach Tom Thibodeau figures out how to put together a winning roster, here are five ideas he should consider to improve the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Minnesota Timberwolves are very lucky.
There is the possibility that no non-playoff team has a brighter future than the T’Wolves.
The combination of two players who won Rookie of the Year the past two seasons, a player who has won the Dunk Contest the past two years and a high quality coach with a winning pedigree have fans excited for the future.
Karl-Anthony Towns is simply amazing and Andrew Wiggins, though he has his faults, looks the part of a future All-Star. Zach LaVine also has faults, mainly defensively, but the team may wish to look past that in order to utilize his outside shooting and athleticism.

That being said, the rest of the roster is truly in limbo.
Ricky Rubio is still a core member, but he’s losing that designation by the day. With LaVine and Tyus Jones on the roster, it’s hard to believe that he’s untouchable.
Shabazz Muhammad is a solid scorer, but he does little else, something Tom Thibodeau may find difficult to utilize in what appears to be a defense first system.
All other players except for possibly Gorgui Dieng and Nemanja Bjelica are expendable, even the great Kevin Garnett, who may simply retire this offseason.
Changes are still available to surround the young guns in Minnesota. Here are five moves that the Wolves could make to center their team around Towns, Wiggins, and Thibodeau.
