If not for his injuries, Michigan Wolverines star Caris LeVert would be in line to be a lottery pick. Due to his injuries, however, LeVert has fallen into the middle of the second round—a stunning and heartbreaking tumble.

If LeVert can remain healthy during his NBA career, he could be one of the very best players to emerge from this class.

LeVert can do it all offensively. He’s an outstanding shooter, a skilled ball-handler, a capable facilitator, and an improved finisher at the rim who can work both on and off-ball with the versatility to play any position from the 1 to the 3.

Defensively, LeVert improved his consistency as an on-ball defender in every one of his four seasons.

Unfortunately, LeVert has a long history of foot injuries. He suffered a stress fracture during his sophomore season, re-injured that foot as a junior, and suffered the same fate during his senior campaign.

LeVert is facing the same injury as Kevin Durant, and his career is far from over, but it’s impossible to overlook the severity of his situation.
