Height & Weight: 6’7″ & 185 pounds

If Furkan Korkmaz were an American player, he’d likely be one of the biggest fan favorites in this draft class. He’s a 6’7″ shooting guard with a lethal jump shot and explosive leaping ability that enables him to effortlessly play above the rim.

As a European player who’s received minimal exposure and has his fair share of flaws, however, the bust potential is legitimate.

Korkmaz’s combination of size and athleticism is reason enough to be intrigued by how good he could become. He’s already an excellent 3-point shooter whose form is solid, and range is NBA-caliber.

Korkmaz is also a willing passer who plays with a team-first mentality, which is reason to believe in his potential.

Korkmaz is only 18 years old, but he’s very thin for his position, and that’s a rational reason to be concerned. Korkmaz is more of a straight-line finisher than a creative shot-creator, and his half court prowess must be diversified.

Korkmaz is projected to come off the board in the Top 20, and that’s understandably created his boom-or-bust potential.
