Ford Motor Company

Henry Ford made strides in the automobile industry because of his development of the assembly line. The assembly line allowed for mass production and substantially quicker production times, according to History.com.

Ford Motor ranks ninth on the Fortune 500 Rankings and is second in the state of Michigan. The company breaks down into three divisions, Ford, Lincoln and Motorcraft. Lincoln is Ford’s luxury line and Motorcraft produces sports cars, such as Mustangs.

Ford is headquartered in Dearborn, which is a suburb of Detroit. As important as the automobile industry has been, Henry Ford revolutionized it by his introduction of the assembly line.

The Fords already own the Detroit Lions. A fit with the Pistons would make sense for what Gores is likely looking for as a potential advertiser.
