Amway

Amway is a company that sells a variety of home care products. The company was founded in 1959 by Jay Van Andel and Richard DeVos in Ada, MI, which is outside of Grand Rapids. Their company may sound familiar since they hold the naming rights to Amway Arena, where the Orlando Magic play.

Amway grows their business by using a multi-level marketing strategy. That is a strategy that compensates a sales force for what they sell, but what other salespersons that they recruit sell, according to Forbes. Amway markets this as something people can do in their free-time, outside of what they do (as shown in the 30-second commercial).

Being a Michigan-based company gives Amway an edge on some suitors. The colors featured on their logo are similar to that of the Pistons’ color scheme as well, so this could be a good fit.
