A Safe Bet

Kris Dunn could be the one player who will be a guaranteed productive NBA player no matter what situation he is drafted into. The 21-year-old out of Providence is a polished point guard with great size at 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds and possesses an excellent feel for the game.

Dunn possesses a swift first step that allows him to get into the heart of the defense and decide whether to score it himself or create for teammates. He has always been a great distributor, averaging 7.5 and 6.2 assists during his junior and senior seasons, respectively.

The reigning Big East Player of the Year isn’t the type of scorer that is going to light it up shooting off screens, but he offers a more versatile offensive game than current point guard Ricky Rubio.

At this point, Rubio’s feel for the game is on another level compared to Dunn’s, but it isn’t out of the question that Dunn could also surpass him in that area as well.

If the Timberwolves aren’t able to get Buddy Hield or Jamal Murray, Dunn would by no means be considered as a disappointing pick.
