The Cleveland Cavaliers had not played in more than a week prior to their Game 1 matchup against the Toronto Raptors in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Meanwhile, the Raptors were coming off a grueling seven-game set against the Miami Heat and were not expected to make it this far.

Despite how poorly their backcourt has played at times and the fact that they needed to win two Game 7s just to get to this point, the Raptors were out to prove they are more than just a speed bump for a Cavaliers team seeking to return to the Finals for a second straight year.

Early on, the Raptors played well, scoring the first seven points of the game. But it was the Cavaliers who asserted their dominance after that. Not only did they erase the early deficit, they cruised into halftime with a commanding 66-44 advantage.
