The Chicago Bulls have a number of talented players working along the offensive perimeter. Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler are locked in as starters, Doug McDermott showed potential as a shooter, and Tony Snell still has his share of supporters.

One simply can’t help but believe Chicago would be intrigued by the possibility of adding a player with Denzel Valentine’s versatility to Fred Hoiberg’s offense.

Valentine has the quintessential frame for an NBA shooting guard at 6’6″ and 210 pounds with a 6’11” wingspan. He’s not the most explosive player, but Valentine is supremely skilled as a facilitator and shooter, and has the unique ability to influence a game in any number of ways.

Well-rounded as he may be, Valentine’s prowess as a shooter is often understated.

Valentine rivals Buddy Hield and Jamal Murray for the label of the best shooter in this draft class, and there isn’t a hint of hyperbole in that statement. During his junior and senior seasons, he made 206 3-point field goals on 43.0 percent shooting from beyond the arc.

Even if Valentine were to be limited to a role as a shooter, his career could still be quite successful.
. Shooting Guard. Michigan State Spartans. Denzel Valentine
