Point Guard. Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Demetrius Jackson . 12. player. 118. Age: 21 (9/7/1994)
Height, Weight, Wingspan: 6’1.75″, 194 pounds, 6’5.5″
Slash Line: .451/.331/.813
Season Averages: 36.0 MPG, 15.8 PPG, 4.7 APG, 3.5 RPG, 1.2 SPG, 1.5 3PM
The Utah Jazz need a player who can come in and provide a consistent and reliable impact as a facilitator. Dante Exum still has high expectations from those within the organization, but he struggled as a rookie and missed the entire 2015-16 season due to injury.

Selecting Demetrius Jackson would give Utah a tantalizing failsafe if the events of 2014-15 and 2015-16 were to repeat themselves.

At the 2016 NBA Draft Combine, Jackson further proved what was already believed about him: he’s explosive. He posted an incredible 37.5-inch standing vertical leap, and ripped off an unbelievable 43.5-inch max vertical—the No. 2 mark amongst all players in the 2016 draft class.

Jackson measured at 6’0″ without shoes, but with a near 6’6″ wingspan and explosive athleticism, his height isn’t much of a factor.

Jackson is the type of player about whom the word, “Intangibles,” applies. He’s a very solid basketball player who does nothing at a necessarily elite level, but played within the confines of a system and made plays in clutch moments.

If developed as the all-around player and explosive athlete that he is, Jackson can have a bright future in the NBA.
