3. Timofey Mozgov

Sensing a trend here? That’s because the Mavs interior was abysmal last season. Zaza Pachulia was good early on, but wore down as the season progressed. Salah Mejri is a talented, yet extremely raw prospect who was thrown into the fire too early out of necessity.

Timofey Mozgov provides a solid offensive post presence that Dallas has is in need of to balance the floor. He can score with his back to the basket, or rolling to the hoop and finishing strong.

While he’s not a facilitator in the mold of Pachulia, Mozgov makes up for that with an excellent rebound presence on both ends of the floor that, as we have already established, Dallas is desperately in need of.

Mozgov is not elite, but he is the solid post presence on both ends of the floor that most teams covet.

Considering that he’ll command around $5 million against the cap, Mozgov can be added to the lineup at reasonable cost and provide yet another solid frontcourt performer to add to the rotation.
