With an underwhelming season behind him, Cheick Diallo had one option: post elite measurements or fall out of favor in NBA Draft circles. Diallo did himself a number of favors by achieving the former.

At 6’9″ with a near 7’5″ wingspan, Diallo is every bit as physically impressive as many believed him to be.

Diallo posted the second-longest wingspan of any prospect at the 2016 NBA Draft Combine. That helped confirm the notion that he’s physically intriguing, and helped his chances of being a late first-round selection.

Diallo needs to shine during his pre-draft workouts, of course, but those measurements bode well for him.

Diallo’s season averages were greatly influenced by ineligibility issues that gave him a late start. On a per 40 minute basis, however, he checked in with an impressive 16.0 points, 13.5 rebounds, 3.4 offensive boards, and 4.6 blocks.

Diallo flashed that potential by recording 18 points and four blocks in the first 5-on-5 scrimmage at the 2016 NBA Draft Combine, and nine points with 10 rebounds and two blocks in the second.
