Malcolm Brogdon is one of the better shooting guards in the 2016 NBA Draft. Widely regarded as one of the Top 45 prospects in this class, he helped himself by confirming the belief that he has an NBA build and an excellent jump shot.

The reigning ACC Defensive Player of the Year has positioned himself to make waves in pre-draft workouts.

Brogdon measured at roughly 6’6″ and 223 pounds with a near 6’11” wingspan—a prototypical physical build for an NBA shooting guard. He also turned heads by recording 17 points, six assists, four rebounds, and three steals during Thursday’s scrimmage.

He wasn’t spectacular during Friday’s scrimmage, but Brogdon did more than enough to solidify his status as a Top 45 player in this draft class.

Brogdon will turn 24 years old during his rookie season, but he’s a top defensive prospect with a lethal jumper. He’s much better off the bounce than he receives credit for, sees the floor well as a facilitator, and made 75 3-point field goals on 39.1 percent shooting.

Brogdon should have legitimate 3-and-D value to an interested NBA team.
