If you’re unaware of who Joel Bolomboy is, don’t feel bad; not many people did before the 2016 NBA Draft Combine. Exiting Chicago, however, it’s fair to say that he’s one of the most athletically gifted players in this draft class.

Bolomboy used the NBA Draft Combine as a launching pad into the eyes of the masses.

Bolomboy posted very ideal measurements for a power forward at 6’9″ in shoes with a near 7’2″ wingspan. That made the following information something that should be taken with less of a grain of salt than one usually should.

Bolomboy recorded a 40.5-inch max vertical leap and ranked No. 1 in lane agility, No. 5 in the three quarter sprint, No. 6 in the shuttle run—amongst all prospects.

Bolomboy is an elite athlete, and I don’t use that word lightly when describing his gifts. He proved faster, quicker, and more explosive than a vast majority of perimeter players, and he’s a power forward.

Coming off of a season during which he averaged 17.1 points and 12.6 rebounds while making an efficient 20 3-point field goals, Bolomboy could be this draft class’ breakout star.
